Hemorrhoid, Haemorrhoids, or Hemroids are all different ways people spell that awful condition that for most people is just called a pain in the A...
It has been treated with various techniques since man has been doing medicine.
Real photos pictures of Hemroids are in the Videos section here.
What are Hemorrhoids?
Hemroids exist in your body at all times they are a natural normal part of it. They actually are cushions in the anal canal. Think of them like bumpers on a pinball machine they only become a problem when the supporting tissues stretch and they move down and begin to either bleed internally or exit the anal canal and become a visible Hemroid. The tissue stretches and the internal veins are like a garden hose with a bubble in it. The Veins in the Hemroid can become thrombosed and that means that the blood is trapped in them like kinking a hose and seeing the hose bubble and that is when it becomes painful.
What are external Hemroids?
External hemorrhoids are the ones which develop on the outside of the anus. External Hemroids in their first stage can be seen as small bumps or swellings around the anus. In this first stage external hemroids can be very itchy and irritable.
When they continue to grow larger in size they can also become very painful, especially if blood clots inside them (become thrombosed). Being outside the anus makes exposes them to abrasions like toilet paper and when open and bleeding makes them the targets of infection.
They can be either bleeding or not bleeding and are seen as lumps under the skin which are sometimes hard or can be soft and fleshy and can be mistaken for skin tags instead of hemroids.
Hemroids are often felt and or seen as one lump or several in a cluster these are prolapsed internal Hemroids whose shape, size and number vary from one person to another. They can vary from as small as a pea to that of a grape or even larger.
Internal Hemroids may be pulled down and protrude out of the anus.
Hemroid colors can vary depending on the type. Red to pink Hemroids are generally prolapsed internal Hemroids.
Dark red to purple Hemroids are normally thrombosed (the blood is trapped in the veins and not flowing) Hemroids.
External Hemroids are often brown due to the color of the ring around the anus where they are seen.
Hemroids have caused pain, discomfort and agony for many people for many during recorded history. The pain of Hemroids gives them the ability to cause us to be grumpy, irritable and quick to anger, to lose focus and to make errors. The pain of them has caused people have them burned off, or cut off and taking the risks of infection and death in the past just to get rid of them.
Essential oils or creams using them are great as an external Hemroids treatment. Some oils will help with the pain, others will act as astringents and shrink the Hemroid still others will speed the healing.
Pills or suppositories can be used to soften the stools and keep the Hemroids from being pulled and allow them to heal. The relief can begin immediately, but the healing can take weeks to months depending on the severity and if you have removed the causes.
Surgery is only really necessary in less than 5 percent of the cases and most of those could be helped with lifestyle changes like more fiber in your diet, not sitting on the toilet for long periods or trying to hold a bowel movement etc.
What are internal Hemroids?
If the weakened and stretched Hemroids are still inside the rectum, they are referred to as internal Hemroids, they may bleed but they are seldom painful since the nerve ending in the rectum only sense pressure for the needed bowel movements.
Internal hemorrhoids only happen in the last two inches of the anus making it easy to check if that is the source of your bleeding etc. If the bleeding is from internal Hemroids the stool with have blood on the outside only and not on the inside.
Internal Hemroids are not treated the same as external. The creams and oils that you would put on
external would be too powerful on internal Hemroids and can cause an
overdose. Special creams or
suppositories are used for internal and are of a lesser strength because they are absorbed into the body so readily with internal hemroids.
Pills that soften the stool will also work on internal Hemroids since the hardness of the stool is likely what pulled them out of place as it is.
Surgery is an option for internal Hemroids but again it is easier to do a lifestyle change and let them heal. Less than 5% of all Hemroid sufferers need surgery. The information in the books will show you how to get rid of them easily and keep them away. Several surgeries are listed and shown on the Video articles page. It is not the best option.
Prolapsed Hemroids are internal Hemroids that exit the anus are outside where you can see them or feel them, they are referred to as a Hemroid prolapses or a prolapsed Hemroids and, they are generally reddish in color. Just because they are outside the anal canal they are still internal type Hemroids and need the same kind of treatment. They will easily absorb any type of medication and too much can be an issue. Which is why natural methods are best?
Bleeding hemorrhoids are mainly caused by scratching the hemorrhoid in some way with the stool being too hard or wiping too hard. The loss of blood is normally only no more than a teaspoon, but it can seem like a lot more. It is possible for bleeding hemorrhoids to be so severe that it can cause them to become iron deficient or anemic.
Thrombosed hemorrhoids are hemorrhoids that have a blood clot in them, and they are exquisitely painful. The blood flow has been cut off either by the sphincter muscle or some other way and the blood hardens into a clot and can be serious. The clot may need to be removed or possible can be small enough that sits baths (hot) will be enough to help. Internal clots have been known to cause gangrene.
